Suffolk University's Entrepreneurship Magazine featured Chef Alessandra while a sophomore at the University with the title "Persistance". The restaurant was to launch in 2008 after graduation but persistence and ambition got the best of this foodie and entrepreneur. Café Piazza Dolce was established in 2005 while Chef was only 18, and while the restaurant originally sold only espresso, gelato, and fresh baked italian specialties like lobstertails and sfogliatella, Dolce's popularity soon transformed into a cozy eatery serving New England and Neapolitan fusion fare such as Barolo Braised mint and pomegranate Lamb Shanks with local roasted pumpkin risotto and from scratch pastas, pizzas, and grilled dishes. The menu, comprised of locally inspired fare with the backbone of her home country, Chef brings together entrees from every region of Italy.
